Great Application Services Monitor
Pros:

Easy to Use & Intuitive, Many Pre-built Templates , Strong Forum Participation  

Cons:

Need More Templates

Overall I have liked the APM tool and have found it valuable for the common app systems we use. I would like to see more clarity about each of the templates themselves and maybe more templates for more of the common services like SMTP monitoring, etc. I don't have the time to write custom templates so if there were more development people doing this it would help immensely. And just for the record I am using APM v 4.0 SLX even though the drop down on this review only lists 3.5 as a selection option.

This tool is a great help in our team. Very easy to navigate and useful. It makes life easier especially when you are managing hundreds of devices. From maps to IP SLAs and generating reports all just by a simple click that are accurate and reliable... simply awesome!

I have used this product for years and don't know where I would be without it. It has saved my company on numerous occasions. From a simple server up/down alert to logging into my OWA and making sure it's up, this product tells me everything that is going on in my network.

Full Review:
This product was purchased to do simple monitoring of a website which it does well. The ability to pull information by firing off scripts is very helpful as well and has given me the ability to monitor SSL certificates for expiration.

Pretty easy to setup and get basic monitoring online. Great for monitoring web servers and Microsoft applications. WMI monitoring seems a bit flakey on 2008 but switching to SNMP works just fine.
